BT have announced that MBORC declarations have ended for the recent Winter weather conditions, at the latest, with effect from 12:00 Tuesday 17th February. At that time of the report, the only open blanket declarations in place were for Grampian, Highlands South (part) and Highlands North (part).

NewNet engineers will be carrying out planned maintenance on the PowerHost shared MySQL database server, ‘mysql1′, to upgrade the hardware.  This work will improve performance for customers using a MySQL database on the PowerHost platform.

Users of this system will experience an outage whilst this work is undertaken.  The expected outage is no more than 1 hour, however the service is considered ‘at risk’ throughout the maintenance window.

The NewNet telephone system has been restarted today due to an issue with the incoming call routing.

Customers calling any direct dial number into NewNet may not have been connected correctly, this issue has now been resolved and the telephone system is now working correctly.

NewNet engineers will be undertaking planned maintenance on the shared web server ‘web15′ (Sahasrar).  This work will require a reboot of this machine.

All services hosted on this server (Web / Email / FTP / MySQL) will be unavailable for a short period of time whilst this action is undertaken.  Expected down time is no more than 5 minutes, however the service is considered ‘at risk’ throughout the maintenance window.

The PowerHost server windows3 experienced an issue that required a reboot to restore service. Service was affected between 17:56 and 18:09 on 16/02/2009.
