Primary DNS Server

RESOLVED: The Primary DNS server has now been brought back online and this issue has been resolved.

NewNet have experienced a failure of the southcoast DNS server.  The secondary DNS server is unaffected and is contactable on: 213.131.170.11

Channel Partner Telephone - on-line

The channel partner telephone number is currently offline due to a fault. This is being investigated. Channel Partners are advised to call 01329 226723 or email helpdesk@newnet.co.uk if you have a fault or require other technical support.

NewNet apologises for the inconvenience and will restore the service as soon as possible.

The channel partner telephone fault has now been resolved, the service has been restored to normal operating. 02/04/2009

Emergency Maintenance - Dial2.co.uk - 31/03/09 - 00:00 - 31/03/09 - 00:30

NewNet engineers will be undertaking maintenance on legacy server dial2.co.uk to fix an issue that has arisen with filesystem quotas.  This work will require a reboot of the machine, causing a short loss of service for domains on this platform.

Broadband router reboot 25/03/2009 01:00

COMPLETED: Maintenance completed by 1.15 on 25/03/2009

NewNet will be rebooting a broadband LNS router due to a buffer overload error on the 25th of March 2009 from 1am.

Customers whose ppp sessions terminate in this router will see their sessions drop while the router reboots. Sessions should re-negotiate  automatically within a few minutes. If you are experiencing issues following this maintenance please reboot your adsl router in order to force the re-negatiation of the session.

COMPLETED: The maintenance work was completed successfully and the server upgraded

Notice of emergency maintenance scheduled for 24/03/09 22:00 - 25/03/09 01:00

NewNet engineers will be carrying out emergency maintenance on the mail server ‘mail1.adsl.newnet.co.uk’.

This machine will also be upgraded at the same time to improve performance.  Users of this system (@mail1.co.uk and @nadsl.net email accounts) will experience a loss of service whilst this work is carried out.  Expected downtime is no more than 1 hour, however the service is considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.
