Notice of planned maintenance scheduled for 01/04/2009 22:00 - 02/04/2009 02:00

NewNet engineers will be undertaking maintenance to upgrade the PowerHost MySQL database server ‘mysql1.ukisp.com’.  This upgrade will increase the performance of databases hosted on the PowerHost system.  Expected downtime is no more than 2hrs, however the service is considered ‘at risk’ throughout the maintenance window.

COMPLETED: Maintenance has been completed 01:00

NewNet engineers will be undertaking planned maintenance on some parts of our access network in the Delme Place and Carnac Lodge data-centres on Wednesday March 18th 2009 from 00.01.

This work will consist of a migration of the existing access infrastructure in this data-centre into our newly deployed core infrastructure. Customers will experience a controlled loss of service of up to 30 minutes while their access routers are migrated into the new platform.

Customers using Powerhost, Powerreg, managed hosting services, access to orderforms.co.uk and access to southcoast DNS servers will also be affected.

Due to the nature of these works, NewNet recommends its customers to consider their services as “at risk” for the duration of the maintenance window.

NewNet engineers will be undertaking the final upgrades to the NOS (NewNet Online Support) system, as part of planned maintenance.

The system will be unavailable during the hours of the maintenance window.  Expected downtime for the system is 1-2 hours, however the system is considered ‘at risk’ throughout the entire window.  Colocation/Leased Line customers should submit a ticket via their secure area as normal if required.
