The NewNet stats page suffered a short outage between 12:08 and 13:10 today.  This issue was quickly resolved by NewNet engineers.

NewNet engineers will be undertaking maintenance on mail1.adsl.newnet.co.uk shared mail server, which will require a reboot on completion. The downtime is expected to be no more than 20 minutes, however the services hosted on this server are considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.

Work will also be carried out on Powerhost mail server mail2.ukisp.com. All services on this server will be affected throughout the work, and expected outage is at least 1 hour.

NewNet wishes to advice all customers that we will be undertaking maintenance to our primary phone system unit on Sunday 31st May 2009 between 1200hrs and 1500hrs.

All NewNet telephone numbers during this period will give the busy tone.

All customers that have use of the 24 hour support number will be contacted via their account manager with an alternate number for use during this period.

An issue has arrissen in the BT ipStream ADSL network where some users are unable to authenticate sessions. As yet there is no furter information regarding this fault. NewNet LLU broadband customers will be unaffected.

NewNet will be undertaking the migration of Hosted Exchange 2003 to the Hosted Exchange 2007 platform on Friday 29th May 2009 between the hours 0f 23.00 and 02.00, during this period mail boxes will not be accessible. Once completed all mail boxes will be accessible as normal. All hosted exchange clients have been advised by email of any changes that may be required.
