Mail Server Maintenance - 4th June 2009

Time period: Thursday 4th June 2009 22:00 – 01:00

NewNet engineers will be undertaking maintenance on mail1.adsl.newnet.co.uk shared mail server, which will require a reboot on completion. The downtime is expected to be no more than 20 minutes, however the services hosted on this server are considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.

Work will also be carried out on Powerhost mail server mail2.ukisp.com. All services on this server will be affected throughout the work, and expected outage is at least 1 hour.

    This work has been completed successfully and all services are back online.

    A further maintenance slot will be required for the ADSL Mail1 server to perform upgrades on the hardware. As usual, users will be notified of this work well in advance.
