Reason for maintenance – Thursday 28th January 2010

Window:         Thursday 28th January 00.01 – 04.00
Description:    Maintenance to core network router
Risk assessment:    Loss of service to orderforms.co.uk, South coast DNS and legacy hosting services

NewNet engineers will be carrying out essential maintenance on a router within the core network to upgrade the network for future expansion and to enable IPv6 support.

There will be an outage of up to 30 minutes while the router is upgraded and this will affect all access to orderforms.co.uk, legacy hosting servers and South Coast DNS servers.  Customers should consider their services as “at risk” for the duration of the maintenance window.

PowerHost mySQL problems - 18th Jan 2010

RESOLVED: This service is now back online. Any customers still having issues please contact our support team on 01329 226723

NewNet engineers are currently investigating an issue with our PowerHost mySQL server (mysql1.ukisp.com).
Some customers that have websites hosted on the PowerHost servers and are using a mySQL database may experience some issues reading data from their database.

Updates will follow as soon as possilbe

MBORC - notice for all BT services - 21/12/2009 @ 17.00

NewNet has received notification from BT that service delivery and faults have been delayed due to the recent heavy snowfall and low temperatures. This has been in affect as of 17.00 on 21st December 2009. NewNet will keep the status page updated as we receive updates.

Orderforms.co.uk

RESOLVED: This service is now back online.

We are currently expierencing a loss of service for all customers trying to access www.orderforms.co.uk

Engineers are currently working to bring this service back online.

Fareham Exchange issues

RESOLVED:  Connectivity has been restored. There has been an additional loss of mains power within the exchange and one of the UPS has developed a fault. Services are expected to remain stable however they should be considered as “at risk” until tomorrow as there is no longer power redundancy for network equipment within this pop. BT has advised that a replacement UPS will be available tomorrow 8th of Jan from 10am.

A further power outage has been experienced at the Fareham exchange and all connectivity services delivered from this location are currently offline.

A BT power engineer is currently en-route to site. Further updates will be made as they become available.
