DNS response times 31st July

NewNet DNS cache on 212.87.64.7, used for broadband and London based services has been experiencing higher than normal loads and this has resulted in poor response times from 17:30 today.

Works were undertaken and it has now been returned to full service.

Hosted Exchange Maintenance - 30/07/2010

NewNet would like to inform you that there will be scheduled maintenance for the archive service between 19:00 to 20:00 on Friday 30th July. During this period, there will be intermittent access to the archive service.

We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Suspected Power Outage in Telehouse North

There is currently a suspected power outage in the Telehouse north datacenter in London.

Whilst this is not directly affecting NewNet equipment, other ISP’s are being affected and routing across the internet is affected.

NewNet Phone System Upgrade

NewNet will be upgrading our internal telephone system on Monday 26th July 2010.

We will be re-routing all of our external telephone numbers to our new telephone system on Sunday 25th July 2010 to ensure that all inbound telephone calls are correctly delivered to our staff as needed.

Customers calling NewNet should however, be aware that there maybe some interruptions to the quality of the system while we undertake this work with our Voice Carrier.

NewNet engineers have identified performance degredation on Powerhost web server ‘windows3.ukisp.com’, and will be performing
maintenance to correct this. The web server will be unavailable for a short time during this work. The service is to be considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.
