PowerHost Windows Servers Upgrades

COMPLETED: This period of software for the PowerHost Windows Server was completed just before 3am on Friday 3rd September 2010 without any incident. Any customers experiencing issues with there PowerHost service should contact the NewNet support team in the normal way.

NewNet engineers will be carrying out software upgrades to the PowerHost Windows platform between 0001hrs and 0400hrs on Friday 3rd September 2010. However, the expected period that these services will be off-line is approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Access to the PowerHost Windows servers will be limited during this period.

NewNet engineers will return the servers to service as soon as the software updates have been completed.

New: Adsl bandwidth usage summary

Following feedback from our customers Newnet is pleased to announce a redesign of the look and feel of the customer broadband usage statistics located at: orderform.co.uk / Adsl bandwidth and usage summary. The new improvements now include greater detail and improved accuracy of day to day usage and an accumulative table of your monthly usage. Powerhost Mail2.ukisp.com hardware failure

NewNet engineers are working as quickly as possible to restore service to Powerhost mail server ‘mail2.ukisp.com’
This system has suffered a hardware failure, which has resulted in loss of mail services on this machine.

If you are unsure as to whether or not this affects your Powerhost mail service, please call the NewNet helpdesk for assistance.

BT outage affecting 21cn customers in London

Newnet broadband customers in London and surrounding area may be experiencing loss of connection since approx 1.30pm this afternoon.  This has been traced to a known  issue on BT’s network affecting 21cn provisioned customers. We expect BT to resolve this matter ASAP today and a further update will follow.  However if you are experiencing issues or simply require further information please call our support team: 01329226723.

RESOLVED: BT have confirmed service has been restored. Apologies for any inconvenience. If any user is still experiencing connectivity issues please contact our support team in the usual way.
