Powerhost Mail3 Hardware maintenance - 31/01/11 22:00 - 23:59

NewNet engineers will be undertaking work to replace a failing piece of hardware on the Powerhost Mail3 shared mail server.
This work will cause a short period of downtime for all Powerhost mail domains on this server. Estimated downtime is no more than 15-20 minutes, however the service should be considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.

Domain suspension notices

Newnet wishes to advise customers receiving a domain suspension notice today, to check their domain expiry date under domain management within the online portal (orderform.co.uk). In most cases these domains are not being suspended, and are not due until March. Newnet apologises for the inconvenience caused and is working to resolve the issue.

Recovernet access via https

Users of our recovernet service attempting to access the service via https may currently be unable to access through this method. Newnet engineers are working to resolve this issue. It is not anticipated that data backups to the service are affected by this issue. Newnet apologises in the meantime for any inconvenience this may cause.

This issue was resolved at 2300hrs yesterday. No further problems reported

Delme Data Centre - Generator Emergency Maintenance

The generator providing power back up for the Delme Data Centre has an issue with its cooling system and emergency maintenance has been booked to fix this issue at 9.00am on Wednesday 8th September 2010, the time to complete the work is currently unknown.

During the maintenance period, the generator will be offline and therefore power to the data centre should be classed as “at risk”.
