Broadband DNS server issue

Newnet wishes to advise customers using the DNS server 212.87.64.7 that there is currently an issue with this server which Newnet engineers are working to resolve as quickly as possible.

Customers using this server are advised to switch across to the alternate DNS server on 212.87.64.10 until this issue is resolved.

Newnet apologises for any inconvenience caused and will provide further updates as soon as possible

UPDATE: This issue has now been resolved, apologies for any inconvenience.  Please can all users revert back to using the primary DNS server of 212.87.64.7 again.

Broadband service affecting issues

Newnet wishes to advise customers of a BT service issue affecting broadband users in London, Essex and surrounding areas. We are currently investigating the exact nature of this issue with BT, however this is affecting circuits on the 21cn network. Customers affected will have connection, however will be experiencing poor performance including slow speed and packet loss symptoms.

Newnet apologises for any inconvenience caused and will update further once further information is available. Please call Newnet Support on 01329226723 to discuss and confirm whether affected by this case if required.

Update 1700hrs: This issue appears to now be resolved. Known users affected are now experiencing normal service however Newnet Support continues to liase with BT for confirmation of root cause.

Brief network outage to Carnac Lodge colocation customers

Newnet engineers will be carrying out planned network upgrades as part of a continuing process of improvement for colocation customers in the Carnac Lodge datacentre. Services will be briefly interrupted during this maintenance window for up to 30 minutes.

Newnet telephony issues

Newnet is currently experiencing an issue with IP voice services, which is also affecting incoming calls to Newnet.

Network engineers are investigating and working to resolve this urgently.
