BT outage in Plymouth area

Newnet wish to advise customers of a service outage on the BT network affecting broadband lines in the Plymouth area. Notablly circuits in the PL4 postcode area lost connection at approx 1445hrs this afternoon. We have also confirmed other internet service providers services are also affected by this outage.

The Newnet service desk has followed up this matter with the BT incident team and it is linked to a problem with the Bristol BRAS with 3 nodes affected.

This matter was resolved as part of a major service outage and maintenance response from BT Wholesale.

Planned Network maintenance 6th July 0001hrs onwards

Newnet wish to advise all connectivity customers of planned core network maintenance on 6th July 2011 from 0001hrs onwards. Maintenance will be carried out to upgrade core network hardware and will also incorporate network software upgrades. No outages are expected however services should be considered “at risk” during this maintenance period.

All users with connectivity services will experience 1-2 brief drops in connection during this window as network upgrades are applied and updated. Essential maintenance orderform.co.uk Mon 13th June 2200-0000

Newnet wish to advise users of essential maintenance to the customer online portal: orderform.co.uk. Access to the portal will therefore be unavailable for approx 1hr between 2200 - 0000 hrs on Mon 13th June. Services will be unaffected however functionality of the portal including placement of orders and visibility of bandwidth usage  Newnet apologises for any inconvenience caused. Connectivity to Webfusion

Newnet wish to advise customers of connectivity issues to webfusions network, causing issues for customers connecting to their servers, or websites hosted on webfusion servers.

As soon as this issue is resolved by Webfusion connectivity should be resolved.
