Newnet wish to advise customers of a service outage on the BT network affecting 21cn broadband lines in the South East of England area. This appears to be caused by an issue in the London Faraday node of the BT 21cn network. BT have advised that up to 175,000 circuits across all providers are likely to be affected, and we have also confirmed other ISP’s services are also affected by this outage.

Update 11.05 am: BT had hoped that the issue was now resolved, however this has proven to not be the case. Newnet continue to communicate with BT Wholesale and we are chasing for an estimated fix time.
Update: 11.30am: BT Wholesale advise us that the issue on their network is now resolved and was caused by a switch failure. For now this issue remains open as we continue to monitor the situation.
Update 15.30: Newnet are pleased to confirm that the BT network outage has been resolved and all service was restored. Fault was due to a router on the BT network.
