Maintenance on PowerHost server (unix9): 5th Dec 22:00 - 6th Dec 01:00

NewNet engineers will be carrying out essential maintenance on the Unix9 PowerHost web server.

FTP access to this server will be unavailable for a period of 15-20 minutes, however this should be considered at ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.

Planned Network Maintenance occuring on 4th Jan 2012 0001-0400hrs (previously 30th Nov 0000-0400hrs)

NewNet wish to advise customers of essential network upgrades occurring on the 30th Nov between 0000 - 0400hrs. Upgrades are being made to NewNet’s DSL network and will result in a loss of service of up to 30mins during this period, however all services should be considered as “at risk” during the maintenance window.

All ADSL and SDSL customers will see a drops in connection during this period. If customers notice that their connection does not recover after the maintenance window then a router reboot will restore service. If a router reboot does not restore the service then please contact Newnet technical support for further assistance.

Update 30th Nov - The upgrade work was not fully completed, so a further update will be required in the near future to complete the planned works.

Update 22nd Dec - This work will now be completed within a maintenance window of 4th January 2012 between 00:01 and 04:00, all other details are as above.

Update 5th Jan 2012 - Work was completed successfully and following a period of monitoring we can confirm that no issues were detected following the maintenance.

Newnet wish to advise customers of our technical support opening times over the Christmas period:

19-23rd December: Normal opening times (8am - 8pm)

Saturday 24th December: 9am - 1pm

Sunday 25th - Tuesday 27th December: Closed

Wednesday 28th - Friday 30th December: 9am -5pm

Saturday 31st December: 9am -1pm

Sunday 1st - Monday 2nd January 2012: Closed

Tuesday 3rd January 2012 onwards: Normal opening times (8am - 8pm)

Please note that for customers with 24/7 support contracts, support will still be available using the normal communication methods during the Christmas period.

Maintenance on legacy web servers, web1.ukisp.net, web5.ukisp.net and web15.ukisp.net - 15/11/11 22:00 - 16/11/11 02:00

NewNet engineers will be carrying out essential maintenance on legacy web/mail servers web1.ukisp.net, web5.ukisp.net and web15.ukisp.net.

All services on these web servers will be unavailable for a period of time whilst the maintenance is carried out. The expected downtime for each server is no more than 1 hour each,
however the servers are to be considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.
