Network issues

Newnet are currently experiencing network issues and our engineers are working on the problem at present.

Further updates will be provided when available.

Newnet wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update 1515 - We now believe this issue to be resolved and all services are functioning normally. Any DSL or leased line customers still experiencing issues should reboot their router. If issues persist please contact Newnet by emailing support@newnet.co.uk, or via your normal contact methods.

Newnet engineers have now identified the cause of the issues and an RFO is in the process of being created. Any customers who would like a copy should contact support@newnet.co.uk and we will provide this when available.

Newnet would again like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

0844 numbers unavailable

Newnet wish to advise customers that our 0844 numbers (0844 854 9288 for Sales and 0844 854 9289) are currently out of service. Customers are advised to call in on 01329 226 723 for support and 01329 226 722 for sales as alternate numbers.

Our engineers are currently looking into the problem and further updates will be provided when available.

Following extensive monitoring we have been unable to replicate the issue. Any customers who experience issues are requested to advise a member of the Newnet Technical Support team.

Broadband service drop

Newnet would like to advise customers that have just seen a large number of broadband circuits drop out in the last 45 minutes, however whilst many circuits have recovered some are still affected.

We are currently investigating the cause and will post further updates as they are available.

Newnet would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update 1445 - All circuits now appear to have recovered, however any customers still experiencing issues should reboot their router in the first instance. If this does not restore connectivity please contact the support desk on 01329 226 723.

We are still investigating the root cause, however this appears to be related to our connection to BT and hence we have engaged BT to investigate.

Update 1900 - Unfortunately BT have not been able to identify the cause of today’s issues yet, however their investigations are continuing. We are continuing to closely monitor all services at present, and further updates will be provided when available.

BT and Newnet engineers have now identified the cause of the issues and an RFO is in the process of being created. Any customers who would like a copy should contact support@newnet.co.uk and we will provide this when available.

0844 support number unavailable

Newnet wish to advise customers that out 0844 support number (0844 854 9289) is currently out of service. Customers are advised to call in on 01329 226 723 as an alternative.

Our engineers are currently looking into the problem and further updates will be provided when available.

Update 1045 - The issue has now been resolved, however we will continue to monitor the service to ensure stability. If you have any problems contacting us on 0844 854 9289 then please call in on 01329 226 723 and advise a member of the team.

Update 1545 - Our carrier have advised that this was caused by an issue on their network that was resolved around 1045. We will continue to monitor the number to ensure stability. If any customers experience issues please call on 01329 226 723 instead and report this to a member of the team.

Broadband connection problems

Newnet wish to advise customers that we are currently experiencing an issue with our broadband services.

Our engineers are currently investigating and we will provide further updates as soon as they are available.

Newnet wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Update 1815 - Newnet engineers have now located the issue and will be performing emergency maintenance between 2100-2200 to resolve this issue. All DSL lines will drop for approx 1 minute whilst this is performed, however DSL services should be considered at risk throughout the maintenance window.

Update 2200 - The emergency maintenance has now been completed and all systems appear to be functioning normally. We will continue to monitor all DSL services to ensure their stability.

Update 1000 - Following extensive monitoring we now believe this issue to be resolved.

Any customers still experiencing issues should reboot their router. If the problem persists then please call the support team on 01329 226 723 or 0844 854 9289 and a member of the support team will be able to assist.
