Important Customer Announcement about Newnet Online Support

Within coming weeks the Newnet Online Support system is going to be shutdown and a new service management solution introduced.

Customers will no longer be required to login to https://support.newnet.co.uk to raise an incident.

Customers will simply need to email support@newnet.co.uk and their incident which will be assigned a unique reference number which they will receive via email, along with all further updates to the incident.

Customers are also reminded that telephone support is still available on 0844 854 9289

Newnet are committed to very high standards of customer service and this change will improve the overall experience for all our customers.

18.10.11: The new Service management system will go live on Weds 19th October. Customers can raise a support incident by emailing support@newnet.co.uk or calling 0844 8549289. Existing tickets will be migrated over to the new system over the coming weeks, and once complete the ability to log into support.newnet.co.uk will be disabled.

Please note that colocation, dedicated server and leased line service customers should use the secure area to raise tickets as normal.

Powerhost Mail5 - Emergency hardware maintenance - 13/05/11 22:00 - 14/05/11 00:00

NewNet engineers will be undertaking emergency maintenance on Powerhost shared mail server ‘Mail5.ukisp.com’ in order to swap out a failing disk.
As part of this work, the mail server will require a reboot, causing loss of service for all domains hosted on this server for around 10 minutes.

The service is to be considered ‘at risk’ throughout the whole maintenance window.

NewNet apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.

Hosted Exchange service scheduled maintenance 16/5/2011 2100-2300hrs

Newnet wishes to advise users of our hosted exchange service of scheduled maintenance occurring between 2100-2300hrs on Monday 16th May. During this time there will be intermittent access to the hosted exchange service. Newnet apologises for any inconvenience caused.

NewNet engineers will be performing emergency maintenance on the legacy mail service, dial2.co.uk.
This work will involve replacing the hardware this service runs on due to a failing disk.

Estimated downtime is no more than 1 hour during which time this service will be unavailable. The service is to be considered ‘at risk’ throughout the entire maintenance window.

NewNet apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.

NewNet engineers will be undertaking emergency maintenance to swap out a second failed hard disk in the shared Powerhost mail server ‘mail3.ukisp.com’

This will require the server to be taken offline. The outage is expected to be no longer than 10 minutes, however the service should be considered ‘at risk’ for the whole maintenance window.
