Following feedback from our customers Newnet is pleased to announce a redesign of the look and feel of the customer broadband usage statistics located at: orderform.co.uk / Adsl bandwidth and usage summary. The new improvements now include greater detail and improved accuracy of day to day usage and an accumulative table of your monthly usage. BT outage affecting 21cn customers in London

Newnet broadband customers in London and surrounding area may be experiencing loss of connection since approx 1.30pm this afternoon.  This has been traced to a known  issue on BT’s network affecting 21cn provisioned customers. We expect BT to resolve this matter ASAP today and a further update will follow.  However if you are experiencing issues or simply require further information please call our support team: 01329226723.

RESOLVED: BT have confirmed service has been restored. Apologies for any inconvenience. If any user is still experiencing connectivity issues please contact our support team in the usual way.

Problems Calling NewNet

RESOLVED: An issue with our Upstream PSTN provider has now been resolved.

We have been informed of some issues calling into NewNet today.
Our system engineers are looking into the issue and will update as soon as possible.

DNS response times 31st July

NewNet DNS cache on 212.87.64.7, used for broadband and London based services has been experiencing higher than normal loads and this has resulted in poor response times from 17:30 today.

Works were undertaken and it has now been returned to full service.

Suspected Power Outage in Telehouse North

There is currently a suspected power outage in the Telehouse north datacenter in London.

Whilst this is not directly affecting NewNet equipment, other ISP’s are being affected and routing across the internet is affected.
