Planned Network Maintenance 18th Oct 2011 0000 - 0400hrs

NewNet wishes to advise customers of major network upgrades occurring on the 18th Oct between 00:00 - 04:00hrs. Upgrades are being made to NewNet’s core network and may result in a degraded service during this period, however all services should be considered “at risk” during the maintenance window.

Network issue affecting Powerhost services

Newnet wish to advise customers of a network issue known to be affecting users of our Powerhost service. Newnet engineers are investigating the matter and further updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Update 1432 : Issue now resolved, all affected powerhost customers should now see service restored. Newnet apologise for any inconvenience caused, any customers still experiencing issues should contact the service desk in the usual way.

Web14.ukisp.net Critical scheduled maintenance Mon 22nd Aug 2200hrs - Tues 23rd Aug 0200hrs

Newnet wishes to advise customers of critical scheduled maintenance on the web14 shared hosting server between 22/8/2011 2200hrs - 23/8/2011 0200hrs. Users of this service should expect no more than 30mins downtime during this period. However service should be considered as “at risk” throughout the maintenance window.

Please note this maintenance will not affect any other users of Newnet hosting services e.g. users of the Powerhost platform or other managed hosting servers.

Powerhost Unix 8: Service outage

Newnet wishes to advise customers on our powerhost platform of an outage on one of the unix servers within the platform. All accounts on this server will be affected, however please note all other services on the platform are unaffected and any accounts on any other servers will be operating normally.  Engineers are investigating and we hope to restore service shortly.

Update 1325: Service has been restored as of 1310. Engineers currently investigating the cause of the outage. Apologies again for the inconvenience.

Service Outage 29.7.2011

Newnet wish to advise customers of a service outage affecting many services which has started at approx 1245pm this afternoon. Services affected  include Colocation, Leased line, email and hosting services. Newnet engineers are investigating the issue now and further updates will follow as soon as possible.

Update 1330: Newnet engineers have now restored service to the majority of affected users. Hosting customers are still affected and this is currently being investigated. Continued apologies for inconvenience caused.

Update 1430: Customers on our powerhost service will still be experiencing an outage, affecting websites, email and all other functions on this platform. Other users on our colo and leased line services will have full service restored as of 1320 however will not currently have access to their online stats. Newnet engineers continue to work on this issue to resolve full service as a matter of urgency and further updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Update 1600: Unfortunatly affected service on our Powerhost platform with associated websites, email and databases continues. The failure of service is taking longer to resolve than originally hoped. However Newnet engineers continue to work on the problem to restore service fully as soon as possible. Continued apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Update 1730 : Service has now been restored to the Powerhost platform and associated services. Stats.newnet.co.uk is still offline and continues to receive maintenance. Newnet apologise again for inconvenenience caused. An RFO will be made available in due course  for customers who request this.

Update 1825: Stats.newnet.co.uk is now back online and available for our leased line and colocation customers using this service. There remains an issue with 1 of our legacy hosting services which continues to be investigated
