NewNet Telephone System Maintenance - Sun 11/10/2009

NewNet will be undertaking maintenance on their telephone system on Sunday 11th October 2009 between 12.00 - 14.00. During this period all land lines to NewNet will be out of action. For those customers that have 24/7 support, an additional temporary number will be provided for urgent calls, details will be sent out to all 24/7 customers by email. The normal 24/7 on-line ticketing system will still be available for customers to use.

Data Centre Generator Load Tests - September 2009

The dates originally published for the generator load tests have been amended, they will now take place on the following dates:

Carnac Lodge - on-load generator test - Wednesday 23rd September at 7.00
West Barn - on-load generator test - Thursday 24th September at 07.00

Testing should not affect customer services.

Delme Place - on-load generator test was successfully completed on 16th September 2009, no issues reported.

Planned Network Maintenance - 18/03/2009 - 00.01 - 04.00

NewNet engineers will be undertaking planned maintenance on some parts of our access network in the Delme Place and Carnac Lodge data-centres on Wednesday March 18th 2009 from 00.01.

This work will consist of a migration of the existing access infrastructure in this data-centre into our newly deployed core infrastructure. Customers will experience a controlled loss of service of up to 30 minutes while their access routers are migrated into the new platform.

Customers using Powerhost, Powerreg, managed hosting services, access to orderforms.co.uk and access to southcoast DNS servers will also be affected.

Due to the nature of these works, NewNet recommends its customers to consider their services as “at risk” for the duration of the maintenance window.

Customer Ticket and Access Request System Upgrade - 18/02/2009 - 09.00 - 11.00

NewNet will be migrating the existing bandwidth statistics and access request area for all Colocation, Leased lines, IP transit and MPLS Customers to an upgraded platform on Wednesday 18th February 2009 between 9.00 - 11.00am; during this period you will be able to use the original system for ticket support and access requests.

Once the migration has been completed the original system will automatically be redirected to the new one.

The new system log in will use existing user name and passwords for access. Once migrated, if you experience any issues in logging in to the customer area, please contact support@newnet.co.uk or call the 24/7 telephone number.

Planned Maintenance - Telecity Meridian Gate and Harbour Exchange

Notice of planned maintenance scheduled for Wednesday 18/02/2009 23:00 - Thursday 19/02/2009 04:00

Engineers will be undertaking planned maintenance on our core network in London on 18/02/2009 from 23:00.

This work is part of a planned programme to bring enhanced services and significantly extra resillience to our IP transit customers in the Docklands area.

This third and final phase of works will affect customers in Telecity Meridian Gate and Harbour Exchange.

Once complete, NewNet will be able to offer fully resillient (100% SLA) IP tranist solutions in Telehouse North, Telehouse East, Telecity Sovereign House, Telecity Meridian Gate and Telecity Harbour Exchange.

All customers directly affected by this work have been contacted by their account manager with full details of the work involved.
